Hey Peter!
Since last I blogged, Peter came and went. I think he had a pretty good time. I hope so. It was nice having him here. Last I heard he had arrived in L.A. but he has probably moved on by now. He stays busy that one. We covered a lot of ground while he was here. He went to his interview at the art institute, and I think it went fairly well. We saw the Mission district which brought about a few interesting points. One was that I found a parking space with no meter on the street anywhere in San Francisco. Two was the Pirate store full of trap doors and drawers full of such items as tar and feathers, plastic eyeballs, and fake mutton chop appliques. And three the fact that every store we went into had a large jar of liquid labeled simply "SEASONING", OK then.
We also saw the Castro http://www.castroonline.com/. Which I hadn't really gotten to check out. we missed a few must sees like the redwoods and china town but I felt like it was a pretty fair trade. Shumai VS churro if you will. Either way you win.
The past couple of weeks have also brought such events as my parents 41st anniversary. yea them! Also was my sister Shannon's 31st birthday. Is that right? Man she is soo old! Who knew. And here I am so youthful, hmmm. It feels awful to be away on special occasions but I am comforted with the proven knowledge that if I send anyone a gift they will receive it with love from the USPS in a month max. and what is a month between fiends and loved ones really?

The kids in his playschool class sang happy birthday and he got a big boy bike, which he took to like a fish to water. Hasn't quite mastered stopping, but his going is flawless and passionate. He really loved having Peter here, although he did abuse the fact that Peter liked to draw, And commissioned him for many works for his private collection. Plus Peter has a magic pencil, and what's cooler than that!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON and JASON!!!!
Only one day late, not too shabby. Jules wanted to bake a cake today for the big day, so we did. Strawberry with rainbow icing. pretty tasty.
Jon and Kathleen are coming to visit in a week or two. We are all pretty excited. Jules is sure the cake will last until they get here, but I have my doubts. It may be grounds for a re-bake.
